Presumably the largest natural freshwater lake in Kelantan
with acres of surrounding marshlands, lush greeneries and distant hills.
Located in a very secluded and virtually hidden corner of To' Uban in
Jajahan Pasir Mas, Kelantan state.
Deserted, kind of feeling.
Small herds of water buffaloes grazing nearby.
Free from gasoline fumes and noises of passing vehicles.
Few government-sponsored floating fish farms dotting the watery landscape.
Would be a great ecotourism spot if wisely developed and promoted.
Danau To' Uban ( blue streak at the center ) seen here by satellite imagery. To the right is the Kelantan River - which could serve as a simple comparison on how big the natural lake is. Using the scale shown, the lake must be 6 km long and 500 meters wide. Image borrowed from Google Maps.
