Is it just me or it is already a well known fact that this type of "kedai kopi" ( known as "Keda Ppati" in Kelantan ) could only be found in Kelantan.
Cuz, I couldn't find such "kedai kopi" design elsewhere in Malaysia ( some places where I have been ) or is it just me who failed to notice ? Is it an outdated design which had ceased to exist at other places or simply "authentically and uniquely Kelantanese" ?
By the look of it,
it resembles much like the Western-concept for "drinking parlor"s ( read : bars ),
but to me, it looks more like a typical Japanese "sushi bar" instead
since you usually don't go to this "kedai kopi" just for drinks (sorry, no liquor here) but also for light meals as well.
Having shown you these images. Now let me read your comment. What say you ?
