Nippon ReVisited : ~ Sanuki Udon no Tabi ~

The Seto-O-Hashi..
..or the Great Bridge of Seto..
..connecting Okayama, in Honshu to Kagawa in Shikoku..
..9.4 km long and the one way fee was 4900 yen..
..meanwhile, people queuing up at Gamo Udon (shop's name)..
..the Q was quite long, rested my eyes on this one..
..a very small "village eatery"..
..compared to the number of customers..
..they said that this shop serves splendid Udon..
..next stop, the Gold Tower (158 mtr) in Utadzu Town, Kagawa...
..parking spaces..lots of them..
..from the top floor..
I could see the whole town..
..including this one, car park ? ..
.. an industrial estate perhaps ? ...
..another view...
..enjoying a "free" drink (already included in the ticket,eh?)..
..take your drink and have a seat...
..like the old days...
..flea market, straight down...
..the Oka-sen, another Udon-ya-san..
..but this one is quite "high-class"...
..typical inside view "high-class" Japanese restaurant..
..the special Udon set, the best Udon I ever tasted ! ...
..Mr.Kajita, Udon "fanatic" ..
..I like how they made up the interior..
..next, return to Okayama by ferry...
..from Takamatsu in Kagawa, to Uno in Okayama...
.. Takamatsu City seen from the ferry..
...the journey will take an hour..
..and the fare is much cheaper than using the bridge..
.. maybe like Penang in a way..
..where ferry is considered much cheaper..
..crossing the Seto Inland Sea...
..next stop, Jusco at Kurashiki City...
.. where I found this new Toyota Noah on display..
..recently, the Japanese prefer step-wagon than any other car...
"Sanuki Udon no Tabi" or in English, " Sanuki Udon (Eating) Trip"... A Japanese office-mate of mine seems so addicted to Udon (thick Japanese noodle), especially the local Sanuki Udon that one day he decided to share his passion with me... emm.. actually I was not into this "Udon thing" at first, even though I do enjoy it in a way, but the whole idea that I have about Udon changed when I decided to join him for a serious outing to some great "Udon-ya-san" (restaurant selling Udon cuisines)..

To Mr. Kajita, thanks for the trip, even though I lived in Osaka (really close to Shikoku Island) for 3 years, I never been To Shikoku and that was my very first time !
Konna Udon ha taihen mezurashikute, tottemo oishikatta ! Gochisou-sama deshita !
Kono tabi mo tottemo yokatta, kikai ga areba, mata sasotte ne...
