Taeing Gorgheik in Kota Bharu
* Taeing Gorgheik in the heart of Kota Bharu
A street scene, taken at ' Taeing Gorgheik ', a local colloquial term for
' Maghrib Time ' or dusk, just after the evening squall in the town of Kota Bharu.
Fewer people and cars seen on the street as Muslims, accounting more than 90% in the
state capital, choose to confine themselves in their homes, to observe the Maghrib and
Isya' prayers.
The newly completed Kota Bharu Trade Center ( KBTC ) building is seen on the right,
where the only Parkson and Giant outlets currently operate in Kelantan ... and of course,
seen on the left is the first McDonald's outlet in Malaysia to have Jawi transliteration next
to its iconic ' Golden Arches ' trademark *
* the second being the one at KB Mall, and followed much later by an outlet in Kuala
Terengganu .... oit, apaa tiru Kelate nih ? Ha ha ha ~
Note :
I was told that the KBTC building is now famous for having the most ' horrifying ' and
' gut-wrenching ' parking ramps in Malaysia ! Ha ha ha ... not yet tried, so anyone can clarify ?
